Metro Toronto Home Prices on the Rise

HIGHLIGHTS Toronto house and condo prices have rallied since January. May-June months usually have the greatest price growth. The number of completed purchases is mirroring 2018 but well below 2017 activity levels. Supply of homes is like 2018 as well...much more supply than 2017. Most fundamentals (i.e., supply, demand, government policy) are unchanged from 2018 except that the IMF reports increased foreign direct investment in Ontario. Can the price acceleration be explained by an increase in foreign capital?
